Needs Assessment

A needs assessment is a process used to identify and evaluate the needs of a community. This type of assessment helps inform decision-makers about the most pressing issues and gaps in services, which can then guide program development, resource allocation, and policy decisions. We provide assistance with community needs assessments, educational assessments, housing and economic assessments, social service assessments and developmental asset mapping.

Capacity Building

Building the capacity of your team is critical to future success and sustainability. Our approach to training is simple, we focus on your goals and your individual needs. We provide a framework for achieving those goals through evidence-based methods and access to more than 300+ content matter experts.

• Training & Technical Assistance:

  • Our CARECG Training Team can do full service T/TA planning including training and capacity assessments, solicitation of trainers nationally, negotiating rates, providing advertising, registration, continuing education (CE) distribution, training evaluation. We can also host large-scale conferences of 500+ with registration (including payment processing & management), etc.

• Growth Planning:

  • Our CARECG Development Director works with you to build a developmental profile, identifying the gaps in service you hope to fill, the areas of both need and strength, and your near- and long-term program and organizational goals.  Our development office then monitors grant opportunities released that may fit your strategic goals, and alert you as they are released. 

• Grant Writing:

  • At CARECG, we also provide grant writing support at no cost to our partners, whether you contract with us or not on the winning grant.  In 2023 alone, we supported our partners in securing more than $25 million in service grant awards.

Strategic Planning

The old adage is true: “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Our experienced teams facilitate Strategic Planning processes at the program, department and agency level to ensure alignment between needs, resources and program outcomes.

Implementation Support

Our CARECG Team provides consistent guidance and resources to facilitate the successful execution of your programs, projects, and strategic plans. Examples of Implementation Support:

• Assisting in establishing service delivery models and identifying evidence-based best practices

• Developing protocols and written policies for maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.

• Developing policies and metrics to ensure continuous quality improvement.

• Helping partners to ensure their programs comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

• Assisting partners in developing strategies (including paid and unpaid media/branding) that raise community awareness about the program and reduce stigma.

• Developing educational materials to support partners ability to build community understanding of behavioral health issues.

• Developing a messaging and media campaign designed to create behavior changes within target populations of your community.

• Community survey design, facilitation support and reporting.
